Transport
To attend our wedding, we highly recommend arriving into Bangkok as it is the closest international airport to Hua Hin. From Bangkok, it is a 3hr drive via the methods below. We also highly recommend pre-booking your transportation prior to arriving to avoid delays and higher taxi or rental fees.
Please note that all prices are estimates given in $AUD.
Car Rental
F. Y. I.
We do not recommend hiring a rental car in Thailand unless you have driven there or in similar conditions before. Thailand is known for having chaotic traffic, unpredictable road conditions, and high (often fatal) accident rates, so experience and extreme caution is needed.
If you do choose to rent a car, please ensure that you are covered by your travel insurance.

This is the most convenient and effortless option that allows to you book months in advance.

Like everywhere else, locals here use Rideshare apps. Most reputable and popularly used are:
-
Grab
-
Bolt
-
Line Man Taxi
Rides are always readily available, however, rates are dependable on distance, time and traffic.
These apps are also good to use when you want to get around in Hua Hin and wherever else you may choose to visit.

This is a more budget-friendly, but time-consuming option. For a coach, we recommend:
-
$18 (one way), per person
-
5hr drive directly from the Airport
-
Self-Transfer
Once you arrive in Hua Hin you may also have to arrange transport from the depot to your hotel.
